FOCUS Module Series

The FOCUS Module Series is a component of the FOCUS Initiative, specifically developed to support Illinois State University faculty with their efforts to incorporate civic and community engagement into the curriculum. The content for the first three modules: What are Civic and Community Engagement?, Why Incorporate Civic and Community Engagement? and Innovative Pedagogy for Incorporating Civic & Community Engagement, was developed by three FOCUS Faculty Fellows during the summer of 2006. The content for the latest two modules: Political Engagement and Innovative Partnerships for Student Learning was developed by three new FOCUS Faculty Fellows in summer 2007.

Ready to begin? Follow these few easy steps to login:

  1. Visit: ** www.focus.ilstu.edu/modules** You will be prompted to provide your User Name and Password.**
  2. For your User Name, enter "adilstu\your ULID" Your ULID is often the first part of your Illinois State e-mail address (everything that comes before the @ilstu.edu) and usually consists of the first letter of your first name, the first letter of your middle name, and the first five letters of your last name.
  3. Enter your password. This is the same password you use to access your Illinois State email account.
  4. Begin the FOCUS Modules.
